General MORGAN:

The Eightieth Illinois left here for Bridgeport this morning. It is under your orders for the present. It has better guard the railroad from Tantalon south. Will be down to-morrow.

GRANGER,

Major-General.

[30.]

Most respectfully,

SMITH D. ATKINS,

Colonel Ninety-second Illinois.
