XXII. Brigadier General W. L. Elliott, chief of cavalry, Department of the Cumberland, willd etach one brigade of the force under his command to relieve the command under Colonel Eli Long at Calhoun, Tenn. He will detach another brigade to take post at Rossville, the senior officer assuming command of all the troops at that place. General Elliott will establish his headquarters at this place. Upon being relieved Colonel Long will march with his command to Huntsville, Ala., and assume command of the Second Cavalry Division.
