XVI. Paragraph IV, Special Orders, Numbers 152, current series, is hereby revoked. Major Mason Morfit, quartermaster, is assigned to duty at Wilmington, N. C., for the purpose of supevising the transportaion and forwarding by railroad all supplies arriving at that point from Europe. He will report to Major-General Whiting, commanding, &c.

Commanding Division:
The commanding general desires you to move your command across the mountain, following the general of General Ewell's corps which is now passing. Giving that division and its wagon train about an hour to get out of your way, you move out and camp on the other side of the mountain as near to the division leading you as you conveniently can. General Hood will follow and camp near you.

It will be necessary to station some one on the road to ascertain when Ewell's troops have passed.

Commanding Division:
General McLaws will follow the division of General Ewell's corps which is now passing as soon as it is well out his way, and will camp near it on the other side of the mountain. The commanding general desires you to follow General McLaws, and camp near him on the other side of the mountain. The brigade that you have at New Guilford will be relieved by General Pickett when he comes up, and sent to rejoin you.
