General Johnston wishes you to order all your scouts observing the Tennessee, from Bridgeport to Gunder's Landing, to report any movements of the enemy to the commanding officer at Rome. And desires you to try to ascertain the truth of the reported activity and movements of trains from Chattanooga to Ringgold.
