will withdraw his division at 7 a.m. by the shortest route to the Rough and Ready road, and will follow General Carlin upon that road. Colonel Taylor will draw in his skirmishers and withdraw his brigade as soon as the remainder of the troops are across the creek, and gaining the Rough and Ready road he will rejoin his division. The rear guard will arrest all stragglers and men without arms found upon the road, place them under guard, and upon reaching Atlanta will turn them over to the provost-marshal-general of the department.

II. The trains of the army will be prepared to move at 4 a.m. to-morrow, and will take the road along the railroad in rear of the trains of the Fourth Army Corps, moving to Rough and Ready. (The trains of the Fourth Corps will move at 2 a.m.) The troops will be prepared to move at 7 a.m., the Third Division in advance, and will advance on the Flat Shoal road into the main Atlanta road leading to McDonough. The order to move will be given in the morning.

AND ARMY OF THE TENNESSEE, No. 119. Near Jonesborough, Ga., September 6, 1864.

In accordance with Special Field Orders, No. 64, Military Division of the Mississippi, this army will move back to the vicinity of Morrow's Mill to-morrow, and the following will be observed as the order of march:

1. The trains and train guard in charge of Captain Conklin, chief quartermaster, will move at 3 a.m. precisely on a road to the right which will be designated by Captain Reese, chief engineer. All wagons emptied by the issue of rations to-day will accompany their respective divisions for the transportation of the sick.

2. Major General John A. Logan, commanding Fifteenth Army Corps, will withdraw his command from its present position at 5 a.m., cross Flint River, and proceed on the road to the right taken by the train in charge of Captain Conklin.

3. Brigadier General T. E. G. Ransom, commanding Left Wing, Sixteenth Army Corps, will withdraw his command at 5 a.m., cross Flint River, and proceed on the Renfroe road, followed by the Seventeenth Corps, Major-General Blair commanding. Each column will have a strong rear guard.
