The following dispatch has just been received from Major-General Wheeler, dated between Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Athens, Ala., 6th, via Corinth and Mobile September 9:

We destroyed the railroad and bridge on the Nashville railroad, and then worked down on the Alabama and Tennessee Railroad. We destroyed fifty miles of the two railroads and destroyed several trains and much property. Every fight thus far with the enemy successful, capturing and damaging large numbers. Our loss about 100 killed and wounded. No prisoners captured in action from us.
