I do solemnly swear that I have not by word or action given the slightest aid and comfort to the present rebellion, and that by conversation and action I will do all I can to discourage and discountenance and overthrow the rebellion, and will used all my influence to restore the authority of the Government of the United Sates over the States now in rebellion.

Your are hereby ordered to pay to J. H. Morton at these headquarters on the 1st day of September, 1864, $100, for the purpose of reimbursing Union citizens in your county and neighborhood for their losses by rebel soldiers and guerrillas.

By not complying fully with this order an additional sum of 50 per cent. will be added to the above amount.
