15. Corpl. Joseph H. De Castro, Company I, Nineteenth Massachusetts Volunteers, captured the flag of the Nineteenth Virginia Regiment at Gettysburg July 3, 1863, during the assault on the Second Corps. Now in general hospital.

16. Private Jack Robinson, Company I, Nineteenth Massachusetts Volunteers, captured the flag of the Fifty-seventh Virginia Regiment at Gettysburg July 3, 1863, during the assault on the Second Corps. Now prisoner of war.

17. Corpl. Thomas Cullen, Company I, Eighty-second New York Volunteers, captured the flag of the Twenty-second or Twenty- eighth North Carolina Regiment at Bristoe Station October 14, 1863, while advancing under fire. Now prisoner of war.

18. Sergt. Benjamin H. Jellison, Company C, Nineteenth Massachusetts Volunteers, captured the flag of the Fifty-fourth Virginia Volunteers at Gettysburg, Pa., July 3, 1863, knocking down the color-sergeant with his fist. Now absent, wounded.

19. Color-Sergt. Benjamin F. Falls, Company A, Nineteenth Massachusetts Volunteers, captured the flag of an unknown regiment at Gettysburg July 3, 1863, during a charge of the enemy. Died of a wound received at Spotsylvania.

20. Corpl. M. C. Hanscom, Company F, Nineteenth Maine Volunteers, captured the flag of the Twenty-sixth North Carolina Regiment at Bristoe Station October 14, 1863; after turning it in, returned to regiment. Now present.

21. Private Lewis Rounds, Company C, Fourth Ohio Volunteers, captured the flag of an unknown regiment at Spotsylvania May 12, 1864 from the enemy's works. Now regimental adjutant.

22. Private Lewis Morgan, Company C, Fourth Ohio Volunteers, captured the flag of an unknown regiment from the enemy's works at Spotsylvania May 12, 1864. Now sergeant.

23. Sergt. John Miller, Company G, Eighth Ohio Volunteers, captured two flags, regiments now known, during the assault of the enemy on the Second Corps at Gettysburg July 3, 1863. Now discharged.

24. Private James Richmond, Company F, Eighth Ohio Volunteers, captured the flag of an unknown regiment during the assault on the Second Corps at Gettysburg July 3, 1863. Now mustered out of service.

25. Private Oliver P. Rood, Company B, Twentieth Indiana Volunteers, captured the flag of the Twenty-first North Carolina Regiment while charging the enemy at Gettysburg July 3, 1863. Now present.

26. Sergt. William P. Thompson, Company G, Twentieth Indiana Volunteers, captured the flag of the Fifty-fifth Virginia Regiment while charging the enemy at the Wilderness May 6, 1864. Now present.

27. Private Archibald Freeman, Company E, One hundred and twenty- fourth New York Volunteers, captured the flag of the Seventeenth Louisiana Regiment from the color-sergeant at Spotsylvania May 12, 1864. Now present.

28. First Sergt. William Jones, Company A, Seventy-third New York Volunteers, captured the flag of the Sixty-fifth Virginia while charging the enemy at Spotsylvania May 12, 1864. Killed during the the battle of that date.

29. Private Philip Schalchter, Company F, Seventy-third New York Volunteers, captured the flag of the Fifteenth Louisiana Regiment while charging the enemy at Spotsylvania May 12, 1864. Now present.
