The within report represents the number of guns surrendered at Vicksburg on the 4th of July export that the 20-pounder Parrott gun was disabled by the enemy springing a mine about the latter part of June.

Number 75. Report of Cool. Edward Higgins, C. S. Artillery, commanding River Batteries. ENTERPRISE, MISS. July 25, 1863.
MAJOR: I have the honor to report the operations of the river batteries under my command during the recent siege of Vicksburg.
The line of batteries extended along the river front, commencing at a point above Fort Hill, on the right of my line, to a redoubt which terminated the extreme right of the rear lines and me left, a distance of 3 miles, and consisted of 8-10 columbiads, 1-9 Dahlgren 1
