You will turn over all your disabled and unserviceable horses to the quartermaster at Bermuda Landing, by him to be turned out to graze in the neighborhood there for the purpose of recruitment. You will at once make all the necessary requisitions upon the quartermaster, commissary, and ordnance officer, to the end that we may sent to Fort Monroe for supplies.

You will afford every facility to Captain Collins, of the Veteran Reserve Corp, specially detailed at Belle Plain to the duty of receiving and transmitting dispatches between this Department and Army of the Potomac. You will yourself report by telegraph to this Department at 8 a. m. and 8 p. m., specifically stating the operations within your command.
