We hope to see you at the 12th annual Battery Hooper Days this coming
Saturday and Sunday. Fun event for the whole family. Admittance is free
to the event.

Speakers, cannon firings, Abraham Lincoln, Generals Lew Wallace, Wright,
and Grant, soldiers in camp, Civil War Hospital (sponsored by St
Elizabeth Hospital), Ladies living history, local historical
organizations and more!

We will have the amazing Basement Book Sale open! We have more than 1000
used books of Civil War History (and other military histories,
biographies, historical and classic fiction). Also we have restocked the
gift shop with great Civil War themed items including hats, toys,
coloring books, and more! Remember all purchases are cash or check only.


Sunday will see a Beard Contest! A first for the event. That has a fee
and will have prizes! If you know someone with a magnificent beard, tell
them about the contest!
