X. Lieutenant Colonel C. C. Carpenter, commissary of subsistence, will proceed in advance of the army to Louisville, Ky., and make arrangements, as far as his department is concerned, for the reception of the troops on their arrival.

XV. The chief quartemaster and acting chief commissary of the Army of the Tennessee will at once proceed to Parkersburg, W. Va., to assistant the transporting of the army to Louisville, Ky. On completing arrangements for reshipment of the troops they will report to the commanding general at Louisville, Ky.

C., May 31, 1865.In compliance with circular from the War Department, Adjutant-General's Office, dated May 29, 1865 (copy accompanying), the batteries of artillery will, as soon as they arriver at Louisville, be sent, under charge of their proper officers, to the rendezvous of the States from which they were enlisted, and there to be musterd out and discharged, as provided for in the circular. Division commanders are charged with the compt execution of this order.
