The officers in charge transports on which the batteries belonging to the Department and Army of the Tennessee are loaded will proceed without deadly with their steamers to Eastport, Miss., in charge of Captain F. W. Morse, commanding the batteries, and report to Major General A. J. Smith.

The First Division of Cavalry is at this place. There is no forage; we are entirely out, and cannot proceed without it. We need seven days' forage for 4,000 animals; please have it sent immediately.

The construction corps cannot build a bridge across Duck River, having nothing to do it with. Please send a pontoon to this place immediately; it will be the only way to bridge the river so that my trains can cross. I can then without further delay.
