You will draft your command five days' rations. You will embark with the Third Brigade at the landing under the orders of Colonel Marshall.

COLONEL: The general commanding directs that you proceed with the remainder of your command (not embarked) with their means of land transportation to Hickox Landing as early after daybreak this morning as possible. The pioneer corps is ordered to report to you, and will proceed with you to the landing, where transportation is awaiting you. Your command will draw five days' rations. As soon as embarked on board the transports you will draw five days' rations. As soon as embarked on board the transports you will proceed to Dauphin Island and report with your command to Major General G. Granger. You will take with you on the transports such of your land transportation and camp and garrison equipage as can be transported.
